Games [ARUno] Books My images Links ARUno Pages: The Basic Rules Some Past Rules Other Games |
ARUno is cool. IntroductionI and a few of my friends came up with ARUno a couple years ago, and it stuck with friends, family, bitter enemies -- they all loved it. It's basically the mad scientist's kit for UNO. You start the game with five extra rules, and every deal another rule is added. It's best played with people who love playing for the sake of playing, as an ill-tempered person can screw it up for everyone. The Basic RulesTo begin, read the basic rules. Actual Games PlayedTo see to how wild a game of ARUno can be, read the rules from some of the games we've played. Other Tweaked GamesShortly after stabilizing ARUno rules, a friend of mine taught me Mau. Naturally, I loved it. The part about not being allowed to tell a newcomer the rules combined with strict and swift penalties appeals to my sadistic inner child. A search on the internet revealed some other dynamic ruleset card games. Eleusis is a card game in which the players try to guess the rule that the dealer makes up. Aside from this rule, there are generally no rules restricting play. The winner is the one who guesses well enough to play out correctly. Bartog is similar to Dealer's Choice Uno played with regular playing cards. |
